This guide on how to get from Madrid to Segovia will show you the best ways to carry out this transfer so that you can get to know this impressive World Heritage city, in which its good communication by public transport, makes it habitual for travelers who already know the capital of Spain well, to take a tour of one day to Segovia, located just over 90 kilometers.
We advise, if you have enough time, spend a night in Segovia to take a quiet walk through the old town at sunset, when most tourists and organized groups have left.

How to get from Madrid to Segovia by train
The faster and more comfortable way to go from Madrid to Segovia is to take the high-speed AVANT train that leaves from Chamartín Station and leaves you at the Segovia Guiomar station in less than half an hour for 14 euros.
To get to Chamartín Station you can take line 10 or subway line 1, although the latter makes more stops and takes a little longer. Another option, with fewer intermediate stops, is to take the commuter train C3 and C4 that leave from the Puerta del Sol and Atocha station.
Remember that trains start leaving Chamartín at 6: 40h with half-hour intervals and despite this high frequency, it is recommended especially on weekends, book tickets in advance here. If you don't spend the night in the city, the last train back to the capital is at 9:30 p.m.
Once at the Segovia Guiomar train station you have to get on bus 11, which will leave you in front of the Aqueduct in a quarter of an hour for about 2 euros.

The cheapest way to to get to Segovia from Madrid It is taking a bus of the AVANZA company that leaves the Moncloa Interchange.
To get to the station you have line 3 (yellow color) and line 6 (gray color) of the Madrid metro and once in the Moncloa Interchange you can take one of the buses that leave from 6: 30h, at intervals 15 or 30 minutes, which will leave you at the bus station in Segovia in one hour and twenty minutes for 4 euros.
This station is a 5 minute walk from the Segovia Aqueduct, the starting point of all the routes through the city.

Once you have the issue of the transfer of Madrid to Segovia by train or bus, we advise you to look for accommodation within the old town.
A good option is Hostal Segovia, located in a 16th-century building, right next to the Roman aqueduct.
