The fastest way to go from Rome to Naples is to take one of the high-speed trains of the Italo or FrecciaRossa companies. These trains leave from the central station of Roma Termini, make the journey in one hour and 10 minutes and are priced between 15 and 30 euros. You can save money by booking tickets in advance.

To get to Termini you can take metro lines A and B or with several bus lines such as H, if you are staying in the Trastevere neighborhood.

Another cheaper option is to take a regional train that takes more than 3 hours or the Intercity that takes more than two hours, for about 13 euros.
Once at Naples Central Station, if you do not have the accommodation nearby, you have the Piazza Garibaldi stop from which subway lines 1 and 2 depart, which pass through most points of interest in the city.

How to get to Naples from Rome by bus

The bus is the cheapest way to go from Rome to Naples by having tickets starting at 9 euros. This journey is made by several companies such as Flixbus or Marinobus and usually lasts between two and a half hours and 3 hours, and they leave you near the central station of Naples.
In addition to taking longer than the train, the stations from which they leave in Rome: Autostazione Tiburtina and Anagnina, are far from the center, so we believe that it does not compensate for the price difference.
