The lists of tourist places or places to discover They are common at the beginning of each year.

Now it is the prestigious travel guide publisher, Lonely planet, which through its website publishes a list of 10 hidden gems to discover in Europe. And among the destinations it suggests is A Coruña, in Galicia.

Its history, its "enviable beaches" and its lively nightlife, are the main arguments to include the city of A Coruña in this exclusive list of ten European destinations.

Lonely Planet takes as a benchmark Santiago de Compostela, at the end of the Camino de Santiago, from where in just 45 minutes you reach A Coruña.

Between the attractions of A Coruña most prominent by Lonely Planet, is the Tower of Hercules, lighthouse whose origins date back to Roman times, and which is now considered World Heritage.

But other attractions, such as the María Pita square, the facade of city ​​Hall or the bell towers of the St. George's Church. And of course, the Panaderas tapas area.

Together with A Coruña, in the lonely planet list other European cities appear as Amiens (France), Haarlem (Holland) and Luxembourg, and really almost unknown destinations, like Burg Satzvey (Germany), Battle (England), Olomouc (Czech Republic),Klaipėda (Lithuania), Tartu (Estonia) and Lancut (Poland).

Of all these last destinations I only know Olomouc, and it is certainly a visit that you should plan in a travel in Czech Republic. You will find this city almost 300 kilometers east of Prague, very close to the border with Poland, and not far from Krakow.
